South East Men's Regional Road Race Championships 2009

The Men's South East Regional Championships will be held on 31 May 2009 and is open to all Elite, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cat SE riders. The race will run over the Tenterden/Applemore course in Kent with the HQ being at Woodchurch Scout Hall.

Course Details:

Proceed North from Kenardington Village to T-junction where turn left (M) onto B2067. Continue towards Woodhatch to sewage works where turn sharp left (M) into Appledore Road.

Continue via Bench Hill and Woodchurch Road to Appledore Heath where turn left (M) into Kenardington Road. Continue via Little Heron Wood and Sly Corner to Kenardington Village to complete circuit.

Lap Distance:

6.3 miles – 10.1 kilometres.

2009 South East Regional Championships

The winner of the regional title was Steve Calland riding for Norwood Paragon CC, outsprinting Gary Dodd, 2008 winner, and also Gareth McCullogh from the Medway Velo cycling club.
